How a Junior League of Greater New Britain
Project is Developed

The goal of the Junior League of Greater New Britain when choosing a project is to provide its members with a training opportunity while they work together to improve the quality-of-life in the Greater New Britain region.

Over the years potential projects have been identified through:

  • Junior League members' involvement in the community.
  • The formation of a community advisory board.
  • Gathering information from local agencies via cold-calling.
  • Encouraging groups in Greater New Britain to request consideration as a project through an application process.

Projects should be in line with the mission and vision of the Junior League of Greater New Britain, have a significant volunteer component and serve the needs of as many people in the community as possible.

All Junior League projects are made possible through the funds raised at our fundraisers. Over the past 26 years, over three-quarters of a million dollars has been raised to support the projects and programs of the Junior League of Greater New Britain.
